There was a great article by Steven Greenhut, an opinion columnist for the Orange County Register on Friday, August 5, 2002. He exposed the fact that $80 BILLION of HR5376 will go to the IRS, over 50% of which is dedicated to enforcement of the federal tax codes.
So the "exploiting" of large companies will increase their corporate taxes, but will also force any taxpayer making less than $200,000, (which the vast majority of under-reported income is from this group). More tax and spending from the regressive and maybe an ultimate reduction of $100 BILLION of the federal debt of $31 TRILLION. Once again, a tax bill that is disguised as helping when it will really hinders our economic recovery & inflation reduction.
