The 7th Strain of the Coronavirus family, also known as COVID-19, swept the world in the first quarter of 2020. Originating in Wuhan, China, it was not long before it was officially designated as a Pandemic. The United States eventually fell under the griping danger of this highly contagious disease. It’s affect on the Country was unlike anything we had ever experienced in modern history.
A robust economy was brought to a standstill; people feared for their lives, business were ordered to close, and gatherings of 10 or more people were prohibited. People were told to “shelter inside” meaning to stay at home. It was a crisis that affected all people in America.
Yet, in the midst of this there came about a resurgence of humanity, of caring for one another. People reached out to their neighbors, families started interacting with one another, doing things together at home. We were one America – politics were set aside as we sought to help one another.
The government took every action to lessen the impact of this predicament.
President Trump knew we had to survive not only the health crisis, but we also must survive the economic hardship that was ever present. Thus, Congress was to issue a Stimulus Bill that would help to ease the financial woes of the American people, and American businesses. But, that is where the red line was drawn by the Democrats.
They saw an opportunity to have all their wants written into law; the temptation was far too great for them to resist. And so, instead of passing a bill that focused only on the Coronavirus Stimulus, Nancy Pelosi, -Democrat, Speaker of the House, and Democrat Senator Chuck Schummer, added items to the bill that had nothing to do with the Coronavirus crisis. Voter laws, Ballot Harvesting, Endowments for special interest, funding for increases in salaries for the House of Representative, etc. They knew they had the Republicans backed against the wall; the Republicans were solely focused on getting funds directly for the American people. And so, the “shakedown” from the Democrats was put in play.
As of today, March 26, 2020 the pumped up bill has passed the Senate, and has been sent to the House. Who knows how much more “pork” will be added to benefit the Democrat agenda. We will know soon enough.
When I read about the Stimulus hijacking, I was deflated. I asked “why did the Republicans give in”, I was angry. I wanted the Republicans to be as stubborn as the Democrats, and not give in to their extortion. It bothered me terribly. I was tired of the constant bullying from these extortionists.
Then, as I was flipping through pages in my Bible, I came across a parable, that eased my heart. I should like to share it with you, for if you are as disturbed as I, it may bring you some solace to be reminded God is still in charge, and evil doers do not go unseen by Him.
Matthew 13, 24-30: “The Kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared.
So the servants of the owner came and said to him, “Sir, did you not sow GOOD SEED in your field? How then does it have tares? He said to them, “An enemy has done this.” The servants said to him, “Do you want us then to go and gather them up?” But he said, “No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them.”
Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.”
My fellow Republicans, and all Americans, let us gather together the “tares” the extorting Democrats, and burn them (remove them from office), and let us gather the wheat into the political barn (elect Republicans to the House and Senate and White House.)
The Republicans, acted as did the owner in this parable; they knew more than anything the American people needed this Stimulus money. Let the Harvest of 2020, rid America of those politicians who seek not the best interest for America but for themselves. Vote out the Democrats, and vote in the Republicans in both chambers of Congress. Keep President Trump in the White House. It is time the tares are removed and wheat is sustained.
